In 2018, when her father Leon Chaitow became suddenly unwell, Sasha Chaitow was appointed Managing Editor of JBMT, the peer-reviewed, Medline indexed journal Leon had founded in 1996 as a multidisciplinary journal intended to build the evidence base for the professions it served.

Sasha took on the full management of the journal in her father’s place, successfully producing the Special Issue for the Fascia Research Congress during the days when her father passed away. She was present at the 5th FRC in Berlin where she presented the prizes for Clinical Relevance to the winning authors as adjudicated by her father, and delivered a short address expressing her father’s thoughts and last wishes for the FRC. She remained in place at JBMT for a further eighteen months, liaising with authors, assistant editors, and the publishing executives, in order to perform a smooth transition. In that time she successfully produced a further four issues, performing multiple tasks to ensure the processes did not stall. Her duties concluded in early 2020.
